There is nothing better than a great story.

Okay, maybe working with an author on making a story great, but that's it. Those are the two best things ever.  

 

Well, I also dig bragging to other editors at our super-secret editor meetings about how I knew you before you wrote that one book. 

Oh wait, I'm not supposed to actually tell writers that, am I? 

 

Anyway, I love cracking open an early draft and getting down to some serious book structuring.
